elrahl Ship — Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-13

These terms govern the use of elrahl Ship ("the service"), a Shopify app provided by elrahl.tech ("we", "us"), by the Shopify merchant who installs it ("you"). By installing or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

  • Confirmation of cash-on-delivery (COD) orders with your customers over WhatsApp (confirm, cancel, request an edit), with reminders.
  • Order and shipping update messages for the events you enable.
  • Courier-claim verification: when a connected shipping company reports "postponed", "refused" or "unreachable", the customer is asked whether it is true and you are alerted if it is not.
  • An inbox for customer replies, alerts, and reports.

Messages are delivered through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (WhatsApp Cloud API) and, only for numbers connected through our hosted Embedded Signup option where offered, through YCloud. We do not guarantee that every message is delivered or answered, or that a shipping company's data is accurate.

2. Plans, billing and trial

  • Starter: US$29/month — up to 500 COD orders and 2500 WhatsApp messages per month.
  • Growth: US$69/month — up to 1500 COD orders and 7500 WhatsApp messages per month.
  • Scale: US$179/month — up to 5000 COD orders and 25000 WhatsApp messages per month.
  • All charges are billed by Shopify through your Shopify invoice, in US dollars. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial; you are not charged if you cancel before it ends.
  • WhatsApp fees charged by Meta: for messages sent from our shared trial number, and from a number you connect through our hosted Embedded Signup option where offered, they are included in the plan price. For a number you connect with your own Meta credentials (your own Meta app and WhatsApp Business account), Meta charges you directly through the payment method on your WhatsApp Business account under your own agreement with Meta; those fees are not included in the plan price and we do not invoice them. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice in the app; changes apply from your next billing period.
  • If you exceed your plan's monthly COD-order limit, a small grace allowance is processed and then new orders are no longer confirmed until the next period or until you upgrade.
  • Uninstalling the app cancels the subscription. Fees already charged are not refunded except where Shopify's policies or the law require it.

3. Shared trial number and message caps

Until your own WhatsApp Business number is connected and active, and WhatsApp has approved our message templates on it, messages are sent from our shared number with your store name in the message. Links chosen by you (such as a review link) are only sent from your own number. To protect that number's quality rating, use of the shared number is limited to 300 messages or 14 days, whichever comes first, and we may pause or reduce sending from it at any time (for example if customers block or report it). To keep sending after that, connect your own WhatsApp Business number.

Each plan also has a monthly message cap. We may throttle or pause sending for a store that exceeds it or that harms the quality rating of any number.

4. Acceptable use

  • Use the service only for transactional messages about orders your customers placed: confirmation, edits, delivery and shipping updates, and delivery verification.
  • No marketing, promotional, bulk or unsolicited messages, and no messages to people who did not place an order with you.
  • No unlawful, misleading, abusive or harassing content, and no impersonation.
  • Comply with WhatsApp's Business and Commerce Policies, Shopify's terms, and applicable law, including Egypt's consumer protection and personal data laws.
  • Do not attempt to bypass limits, reset the free trial (for example by repeatedly reinstalling), reverse engineer, overload or attack the service.

We may suspend or terminate a store that breaks these rules, with or without notice where needed to protect customers, the shared number or the service.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Customer consent: you are responsible for informing your customers, and obtaining any consent required by law, that they will receive WhatsApp messages about their orders (for example in your checkout or store policies), and for honoring requests to stop. The service automatically stops messaging a customer who sends STOP (or «إيقاف», «توقف» or «إلغاء الاشتراك»); you must also honor requests to stop made in other ways.
  • Your own WhatsApp number: if you connect it with your own Meta credentials, you are responsible for your Meta business account, Meta app and WhatsApp Business account, for keeping a valid payment method on it and paying Meta's fees, for the access token and app secret you give us (and for revoking them if they are compromised), and for complying with Meta's terms and policies for that account. We store your token and app secret encrypted and use them only to send your store's messages, manage its message templates and verify its webhooks; we delete them when you disconnect the number or your store's data is deleted.
  • Carrier credentials: you are responsible for any shipping-company API credentials or webhook settings you give us, for having the right to share them, and for keeping your account with that company in good standing.
  • Accuracy of your store settings, message texts you customize, and the actions you take based on alerts (for example cancelling orders or disputing with a courier).
  • Handling customer data requests through Shopify and responding to your customers as the data controller.

6. Data protection

We process customer data on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy. We will notify you without undue delay if we become aware of a security incident affecting your store's data.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". It depends on third parties (Shopify, Meta, YCloud where used, shipping companies) whose outages or changes are outside our control. We may change or discontinue features; material changes will be announced in the app.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits or revenue, lost orders, failed or delayed deliveries, courier conduct, or actions taken by customers or shipping companies.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

  • You may stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the app; processing stops immediately and your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy (48 hours after uninstall, when Shopify sends shop/redact).
  • We may suspend or terminate the service for a store for breach of these terms, non-payment, abuse of the trial or shared number, or legal requirements.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law where you are established provides otherwise.
